ÉLUS

Each one has a confused notion of a good wherein the soul may find its rest; therefore he longs for it, and strives to attain it. — The Divine Comedy, Purgatorio (c. 1316), Canto XVII

Élus is the second chapter in a trilogy inspired by The Divine Comedy of Dante. Echoing the Purgatorio, it unfolds as an exploration of the seven deadly sins through a constellation of texts and videos created between 2018 and 2024. The work reflects on vanity, desire, and the endless pursuit of ephemeral pleasures, while confronting the erosion of attention in contemporary life in a world increasingly shaped by immediacy, distraction and the addictive search for rapid satisfaction.
