Metronomia

METRONOMIA (metro: measure, nomos: law, regulation) explores notions of time, synchronicity and ego-dissolution through a combination of sound and repetitive movement, placing itself as a statement about balkan heritage, historical structures and political systems.

METRONOMIA is a piece about time, ego dissolution and synchronicity. Based on a series of repetitive gestures, it creates a motion in space inspired by the inside of a clock. The six performers evolve in a grid composed of six x six squares, moving from vectors and linear pathways to diagonals to a network of vertex, ending in a gyre. The proposal of 40 minutes long is a statement about balkan structural system, history, heritage and tradition. It meets at the end with a conceptual folk dance that brings the performers into a collectiveness.
